You’ve heard about a Bucket List in the traditional sense, but have you ever heard of a Photography Bucket List? These are themed shoots I am DYING to bring to life! If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that when you have a creative spark that pulls you in a specific direction, you should follow it! The most incredible photos come from a place of passion, and I am so excited to bring these visions to reality. Read on and see if there’s one that speaks to you!
New Home / Leaving Old Home (ideal for a young couple, or a family starting a new chapter)
Well, it’s official. The paperwork is signed, the “SOLD” sign is in the front yard, and the key to your new home is in your hands. Let’s document your new home just as it is, before all of the boxes get unpacked and the walls start filling with memories.
Or maybe you’ve built the home of your dreams and it’s officially the first night sleeping in it and you want to capture the beauty before the chaos of life.
Or maybe you are leaving a home that holds countless treasures that helped shape your family into what it is today. Height marks in the door frames, handprints in the concrete pad you poured for the patio, the swing set that the kids outgrew. Hold on to the memories of the house that built you forever.
Ultra Glam (ideal for couples or seniors)
Ever wanted a reason to go all out with hair, makeup and an out-of-this-world dress or suit? Well, here’s your chance! Let’s make this an ultra-glamorous, unforgettable session!
The Notebook Romance (ideal for couples)
You’ve seen the movie, right? Enough said. Let’s plan either a romantic picnic, a serene boat ride, or even dancing in the rain (or a pond). Bring out the vintage vibes for this one!
Library Romance (ideal for couples)
Do you find yourself getting lost in romance novels? How about getting lost in the romance section of a library? Picture you and your sweetie cozied up among the shelves of books reading to each other and enjoying the stillness of the library.
Vintage Pin-Up / Laundry Mat (ideal for woman only or couples)
Tap into your inner Marilyn Monroe or 1950s glam icon with this fun and flirty session. Think bold red lips, sky high heels, and playful outfits.
Tattooed Beauty (ideal for anyone with amazing tattoos)
Just like photography, tattoos are a way to show your creativity and artistic originality. Let’s showcase that beautiful ink with this photoshoot. Prepare to show off that skin, so some of this one could end up nude or mostly nude (to your comfort level, of course).
Motorcycle / Biker Baddie (ideal for couple, man only, or woman only)
The thrill of the open road can be captured forever with this session! I’d love to work with a couple for a spicy session, a woman to capture the badass connection with her bike, or a man that loses himself with the power of the engine roar.
Death to My ::Decade:: (ideal for anyone celebrating a milestone birthday)
Say goodbye to your 20s, 30s, 40s, and beyond with this fun session! Envision a “funeral” of sorts with black roses, a black cake, candles, and a ceremony saying goodbye to the decade left behind.
Baking with Grandma (ideal for a grandma and grandchild(ren) of all ages)
The smell of something in Grandma’s oven is a memory I have held since I was a child, even years after she’s been gone. Let’s capture the precious memories of making Grandma’s famous chocolate cake or sugar cookies with this darling session. We can even make it generational and have mom get in the action!
Fishing with Grandpa (ideal for a grandpa and grandchild(ren) of all ages)
One of my sons’ favorite memories is sitting on a shoreline with their Grandfather waiting for a fish to bite. From learning how to bait a hook to fileting their catch, they remember the sights, sounds, and feelings from these special moments. Let’s make it something to cherish for years to come with this session.
Game Night (ideal for families or couples)
Gather 'round for a friendly (or not, haha!) game night with the kids or even just your significant other. Let me capture the chaos of this super fun session.
Cozy Campfire (ideal for families or couple)
The fire is lit, marshmallows are toasting, fireflies are dancing in the trees. Wrap up in a blanket and get cozy around the campfire while I create photos you can feel for years to come.
Mommy’s Wedding Dress (ideal for girls aged 4-12)
When you got married, do you remember what it was like to put on that dress and take a look at yourself in the mirror for the first time? Imagine seeing your little girl in that same dress. Now imagine BEING that little girl and getting the chance to be a princess in a dress that holds so much happiness, laughter, and love. ::swoon::
Daddy’s Uniform (ideal for children aged 4-12)
Maybe you’re a fire fighter, a military veteran, or even a mechanic. When your children look at you in your blue-collar uniform, they see a selfless, proud man who provides for your family. Let them spend some time in your shoes (literally) and feel the pride you feel each day when you put that uniform on.
Tiny Dancer (ideal for children aged 3-8)
This can mean a few different things depending on your personal vision. Want an early preview to the special daddy/daughter dance at her wedding? Or maybe mom was a ballet dancer when she was a child and now her daughter is, we can capture both in their pointe shoes and tutus. Or does your son love to be held as you dance around the kitchen with him? Let’s capture these feelings.
New Addition (ideal for families that are welcoming a new furry friend)
Don’t get confused, this is NOT a newborn session. Are you getting a new kitten, puppy, goat, etc? Let’s document it! Maybe you want to surprise the kids with their new best friend or maybe you just want to remember the fluffiness of their fur and how small their paws are. They don’t stay small forever.
When I Grow Up (ideal for children aged 4-12)
Is your son constantly talking about how he wants to be a construction worker when he grows up? Or does your daughter perform surgery after surgery on her stuffed animals and dolls, signaling a future as a doctor? Let’s play dress up and put their dreams in photographs!
At My High School (ideal for seniors)
Let’s walk the halls of the high school that you are about to say goodbye to and document all of the important-to-you spaces that it holds. The art room where you learned the importance of color grading, the history lecture room where you learned about Civil Rights, the locker room where you geared up for those Friday Night Lights, the band room where you learned friendship and camaraderie in its purest form. Let’s take your senior session and elevate to a whole new dimension beyond the typical.
